Charge the electric car or plug-in hybrid comfortably at home. With the range of e-tron charging systems, Audi offers a powerful, intelligent and holistic charging concept.
Modular and flexible: The e-tron charging system compact
Charging the car at the household socket or at the industrial socket? Always at home or maybe even at the holiday home? The modular e-tron charging system compact allows maximum flexibility. It consists of a control unit including a vehicle connection cable and two power supply cables - one with a household plug and one with an industrial plug. The e-tron charging system conpact has a charging power of up to 11 kW¹. At the control panel, the user can manually switch between 100 percent and 50 percent charging power. This can be useful if several other electrical appliances are already in use in the household. The status of the charging system and the charging process is shown in compact form by the LEDs on the control unit.
With the chargeable Home Check, which you can order from your local Audi partner, a cooperation partner of AUDI AG carries out a professional check of your electrical installation for charging an electric car. If the electrician recommends adjustments to your electrical system, he will provide you with an individual installation offer.
The optional wall bracket consists of two components: a wall bracket for the charging system and a bracket for the vehicle-side connector. Both elements are quick and easy to assemble. A lock in the wall bracket prevents unauthorised persons from stealing the suspended charging system, which can be an advantage for shared underground garages, for example.
Charging with green electricity
The impressive acceleration and the great driving pleasure are not the only reason to switch to an electric car. In addition to the locally CO2-free mobility, the green power offer can be taken as a further step towards sustainability. Through this offer it is possible to conclude a contract with a local green electricity provider, which guarantees transparent tariffs and a simple change process². So you can put the power supply of the household and the electric car or plug-in hybrids on a sustainable basis.
Home Check and installation service
With the chargeable Home Check a professional check of your electrical installation for charging an electric car is carried out. You can order these directly from your Audi partner for a fee. Here, an electrician advises you on possibly existing charging options, but also informs you about the best possible charging solution with optimal charging times and costs. The electrician can also plan the integration of an existing photovoltaic system. If the electrician recommends adjustments to your electrical system, he will provide you with an individual offer.
¹ The charging capacity depends on the type of main connector used, the country-specific voltage, the number of phases available in the power network and the customer's specific home installation. It can therefore be lower in individual cases. The option for increased AC charging power will be available at a later date. Your Audi partner will inform you about the exact deployment date. ² Not available in all e-tron markets.
Fuel consumption and CO2 emissions figures are obtained under standardised test conditions (Directive 93/116/EEC) using a representative model. This allows direct comparison between different models from different manufacturers, but may not represent the actual fuel consumption achieved in 'real world' driving conditions. Recommended On-The-Road (OTR) retail prices shown are based on the current 2017/18 VED rate.
As outlined in the Chancellor of the Exchequer’s 2015 budget, the way Vehicle Excise Duty (VED) is calculated will change from Saturday 1 April 2017 for the majority of vehicles. The first licence will continue to be calculated using the vehicle’s CO2 value, but subsequent licences will be based on a standard rate of £140. Vehicles with a list price exceeding £40,000 (including factory installed options, delivery charge, number plates and VAT) will pay an additional £310 plus the standard annual rate for a 5 year period. After the 5 year period only the standard rate will apply.
